Z Theatre
Every other year Zumbrota's community theater group, sponsored by ZAAC (Z Theatre) puts on a major musical, drawing on the talents and energy of everyone in the surrounding area. In conjunction with Zumbrota’s 150th Anniversary Celebration, Z Theatre presented “My Fair Lady” in September of 2006, complete with lavish sets and authentic Cockney accents.
In addition to “My Fair Lady,” over the past years Z Theatre has successfully entertained audiences with “Arsenic and Old Lace,” "The Music Man," "Hello Dolly," "Bye Bye Birdy," and some edgy smaller productions including Thornton Wilder and Eugene Ionesco plays.
Sing. Dance. Act. Play an instrument. Swing a hammer. Work the lights. Paint scenery. There are all kinds of "roles" that anyone can play. You don't even have to live in Zumbrota (though we wonder why anybody would live anywhere else).
If you are interested in participating in community theater in Zumbrota, email theater@zaac.org.
